Our Community

Our people. Our why. Our heart.

Christmas Kids

Special people deserve special treatment, especially children. So we’re more than happy to put our name forward as a sponsor for the Special Children’s Christmas events in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

We’ve been a sponsor for several years now. It’s one more way we can make a difference in the community and provide an amazing occasion for these very deserving kids, who include children who live with life-threatening illness, a physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or are in underprivileged circumstances.

The organisers aim to give the children an amazing experience and just want to “see children happy and smiling, even just for a day”. And we are all about that too.

There are stage shows, carnival rides, fabulous food, and a magical toy cave filled with thousands of amazing toys – three or four of which go home with each special kid.

We’re all big kids at heart here at Envelope, so giving back so some of our little mates in the community can forget their challenges for one day was an easy decision for the crew.

One of the Envelope values we like to live in ‘real life’ is ‘we make a difference’. And this is just one way we can make a difference for others in the community.

We’re young at heart

and Our little mates at Variety are just young …

They might seem a bit young, but we have taken on three children as part of our team. The trio are being supported through Variety’s Kiwi kid sponsorship programme.

The programme helps buy essentials such as warm bedding, school uniforms, and stationery. Variety also steps in via the monthly donation to offer opportunities kids would otherwise miss out on like swimming lessons.

Envelope’s GM Mel Blyde says it was an easy decision to get involved.

‘It’s such a small amount of money and a great opportunity right here in New Zealand.’

The Good Feels

We’re partnering with the fabulous humans at The Good Registry to give back to some favourite charities. We’ll be giving staff gift cards from the Registry so they can choose where they want the money to go.

Living the Give

We love supporting local

At Envelope we like fresh thinking. We like hot coffee at the start of the day, and cold beers at the end. And we pack a lot of hard work, high energy catch-ups, and laughs in in between.  We love local. We love refilling our Keep Cups at our local. We support local business, and celebrate Kiwi success stories, including our own.

Give Back Initiative

We like to help where we can. We are more than happy to give our staff a paid Volunteer Day every year to offer help to an organisation or charity of their choice. It’s our Give Back initiative, and it’s an easy decision for us to do this.

Blocks for our Buds

When we heard the tamariki and teachers from Capital City Preschool in Wellington needed a few blocks, planks, a ladder, and a new projector screen, we were happy to help.
